In "Mobile Social and Fun Games For Health," published by MobiHealthNews, author Bonnie Feldman, a doctor of dental surgery who also holds an MBA in finance, argues that the convergence of trends including the proliferation of smartphones and tablets, the rise of gaming and social networkng as mass media, and cost cutting in healthcare have created plenty of opportunities in healthcare gaming.

Successful games, Feldman writes, will be created by multidisciplinary teams made up of both game developers and healthcare professionals.
