Imaging Gurus Establish CRO

A group of imaging experts specializing in clinical trials has launched Intrinsic Imaging LLC. The San Antonio-based firm is an advanced medical imaging contract research organization staffed by radiologists from South Texas Radiology Group, among others. The CRO will offer various services, including radiological review and image management, to global medical device companies as well as those in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology areas.
“For more than 40 years, the physicians at STRG have overseen millions of images at their 15 state-of-the-art imaging centers and in more than a dozen hospitals. Our team of more than 60 board-certified diagnostic radiologists have subspecialization in breast, cardiovascular, chest, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, head and neck, musculoskeletal, neuroradiology, pediatric, and interventional radiology,” says Intrinsic chairman and CEO Philip Russell. “[They] are experts in all therapeutic areas including oncology, neurology, cardiology, rheumatology, and endocrinology.”
Intrinsic says that with a team of specialized radiologists and use of advanced imaging technology, the company can provide sponsors with comprehensive imaging core lab services across all therapeutic areas.
