A company has released an Android test development kit. UX Test Development Kit automated tests mimic human interactions to validate device user experience, according to a press release. The same test script can be used for devices with different hardware characteristics, thus allowing quality assurance teams to maintain the same test-case database whether they are testing Android smartphones, tablets, or other devices. The kit includes abstract tests for standard Android applications, including browser, camera, contacts, media player, and e-mail, and also includes sample test scripts for Android Market applications such as Google Maps, Facebook, and Twitter. The UX Test Development Kit enables fast creation of test scripts that interact with HTML5 apps and web pages through the Android browser and runs a debugging mechanism to track and identify software problems.
