With a slight tweak to the windings, they can handle low-voltage, high-speed, and high-output-power applications. Offering resistance values down to the mΩ range, these direct-drive motors are suited for battery-operated systems. The kits cover motors sized from 7.5 to 533 mm in diameter and providing torque outputs exceeding 1000 N•m. By modifying the wire gauge, the motors can be optimized for 12- to 600-V-dc applications. In addition to frameless motors, the supplier can create a fully packaged custom direct-drive system to fulfill specific application requirements.
