Standard and custom fluid-management sensors for infusion pumps, enteral feeding pumps, dialysis equipment, and medical ultrasound devices are produced from advanced piezoceramic materials. The company manufactures air-in-line, occlusion, and Doppler flow sensors, along with clamp-on flow and ultrasonic sensors, in a facility that meets ISO 13485 quality-management standards. Air-in-line sensors include a standard, small-footprint bubble detector for a 4- to 5-mm tube and customized versions with special functional features, available in forms ranging from bare-tuned disks or plates to full-functioned packaged sensors. For detecting line blockages, custom and standard pressure sensors based on piezoresistivity also are offered in standard and customized versions. Standard sensors are made of PZT or composite piezoceramics, and custom designs use materials, housing geometries, and tubing configurations that meet customer specifications. Designs can be adapted to suit the tube diameter, tube holding and clamping method, mounting arrangement, or interface with a disposable cassette.
