High-Voltage Power Amplifier Offers System Noise Under 10 V rms

Find more content on: Components

A high-voltage linear power amplifier provides precise control of output voltage over the range of 0 to ±50 kV dc or peak ac up to 100 kV peak-to-peak. It can be used in such applications as dielectric studies, electron-beam ion traps and ion sources, electrospinning of nanofibers, electrostatic deflection, electrostatic flame control, electrostatic levitation, electrostatic precipitation, high-voltage-cable testing, high-voltage-component testing, and plasma studies. Featuring a solid-state design for a high slew rate, wide bandwidth, and low-noise operation, the amplifier offers an output-current range of 0 to ±12 mA dc or peak ac. Its slew rate is above 350 V/µs, its small-signal (–3 dB) bandwidth runs from dc to more than 20 kHz, and system noise is under 10 V rms.
