Small, lightweight, Micro-D connectors have a squeeze-latch system that is designed to facilitate cable connections to small rack- and-panel-mounted equipment. The high-reliability panel-mount connectors also offer options for connecting inside the equipment, including PCB lead frames and direct wiring. Their toolless push-and-latch design minimizes the time and effort required to plug a connector into a circuit. Operating at –55° to 125°C, the rugged connectors have aluminum-alloy shells, a 0.050-in. pitch, and 9 to 51 contact positions. They have been extensively shock- and vibration-tested, and have passed pull tests exceeding 100 lb of pull force.
