A compact RDM-series rotary DIP switch comes with gold contacts rated for 42 V dc and 100 mA and offers a choice of 10 or 16 positions. Suited for applications involving exposure to dirt and liquid contaminants or to temperatures as low as –60°C  or high as 125°C, it features an IP67-rated ultraslim package that supports high-density mounting in medical equipment. The RoHS-compliant switch comes with right-angle or vertical termination and can be mounted in surface-mount and through-hole fashion. Three types of actuator are available. The rotary switch has a life expectancy of 25,000 steps. Its contact initial maximum resistance is 80 mΩ, insulation resistance is at least 100 MΩ at 250 V dc, dielectric strength is 250 V ac for 1 minute, and actuation force is 120 g ± 30 g.
