The 2EP-series thermal circuit breaker for use in medical equipment applications requiring high interrupt performance and high resistance to shock and vibration in a small component is a subminiature push-pull device. Available from Sensata Technologies, the circuit breaker is temperature-compensated to allow maintenance of a constant calibration even with extremes of temperature. Its push-pull action lowers the risk of accidental tripping, and its thermal design provides a delay sufficient to minimize nuisance trips. The circuit breaker is rated to 75 V dc and 250 V ac at 60 Hz, is recognized to UL 1077, and comes with current ratings from 1 A to 25 A and a variety of mounting and terminal configurations. Its high interrupt performance and dc and ac voltage ratings are made possible by the device’s multibreak design.
