Volex (London), a maker of electrical, digital, and optical cables and interconnects, has begun production of radio frequency coil cable assemblies for use in MRI systems at its Suzhou, China, facility. Developing and manufacturing RF coil cables in Suzhou will allow the company to provide consulting and design services in China, where many of Volex’s customers manufacture, according to a press release. The cables are custom-designed to fit each device and developed in a collaboration between Volex’s design engineers and OEMs’ design engineers to ensure their performance.
