UEI Offers Simulated Strain-Gauge Output Boards

Find more content on: Testing

A company has released two models of a simulated strain-gauge output board. Both versions of the DNx-AO-358 provide eight channels of simulated strain-gauge output based on signals from real variable resistor bridges, accurately duplicating the behavior of the simulated strain gauges. The DNA version can be paired with the company’s PowerDNA Cubes, while the DNR version is meant to be rack-mounted in a PowerDNR RACKtangle or HalfRACK chassis. Each can be ordered in a full or half-quarter bridge configuration with 120-, 350-, or 1000-Ω bridge completion resistances. The boards are designed for simulator applications in which a strain-gauge signal is input to an onboard device. They are also useful for testing and diagnosing errors in a wide range of strain-gauge systems. The DNx-AO-358 boards include software drivers compatible with many popular operating systems.
