Find more content on: Components

A company’s transducers business unit offers four branded lines of standard and custom weight and force sensors for incorporation into medical equipment. The sensors can be tailored to meet the mounting, connectivity, and accuracy requirements of a range of applications. The force sensors exhibit high accuracy and reliability in the monitoring of internal tube pressure in infusion pumps, in blood-pressure and heart-rate monitoring, in rehabilitation evaluation equipment for physiotherapy, and in the feedback control units of prosthetic devices. Suitable for weighing patients in hospital beds, stretchers, incubators, floor and ceiling lifts, and bathing aids, the weight sensors are designed for easy-entry installation and may also be hidden from view. They do not interfere with x-ray equipment while in use. Weight sensors with profiles as low as 20 mm are available for use in compact folding scales for wheelchairs.
